School – Library Collaboration Gets New Grant

The White Plains Library Foundation was awarded a $26,000 grant from the Shinnyo-en Foundation. Funds will help the Library continue to collaborate with the White Plains Public Schools through programming for more than 500 students from the Eastview Middle School and other youth development initiatives. Programs will give students structured opportunities to discover and use Library resources, engage in service learning projects and increase awareness of global issues and their local community. The grant makes it possible for the Library and School to build on a successful partnership established through prior support and guidance from the Shinnyo-en Foundation.
